Working...

I sold my first piece on Etsy over the weekend. Today, I got a really nice email from the buyer saying it arrived in perfect condition, and she was going to be looking to buy more of my work, as she loved the piece. It made my day!

So, I went down to the garagio and worked. I made two more similar jars with some new flowers on them. I was terribly excited to try an orchid finally. I have put off trying to make one because the method I used to make gumpaste orchids will not work with clay. I will need to play with some ideas to get the same ruffle on the edges, but my first attempt turned out pretty good. It is drying now, and I will be firing it as soon as I am able. In the meantime, here is a picture of the jar I sold that inspired my work today.
